another day gone (:

nobody's gonna love me better, i must stickwitu forever~
nobody's gonna take me higher, imma stickwitu~
you know how to appreciate me, i must stickwitu my baby~
nobody ever made me feel this way, imma stickwitu~

this job, this place, is really getting on my nerves, affecting my brain and emotions and health. i sleep with anxiety every night if i need to see loo the next day - and practically she wants to see me every single day doing the same thing so i just lose sleep every night. i wake up and come to work with fear every morning because working for her always feels so stressful, like you are scared of just typing a word wrong in email or JUST NOT PICKING UP HER CALL. i am not a person with a lot of patience, neither do i have very high tolerance level.. she is really giving me headaches and gastric pains and makes my emotions unstable. i am so getting outta here man...

i woke up especially early today, even my granny also surprised why im up so early. i left house especially early today, but still ended up late. i guess things just happen.. and most of the time when you dont want it to happen, it just happens to happens. is fate playing with me? i wonder.

saw an old lady fall down this morning, so heart breaking. i know how to feel for them, but when it comes to actions.. i dont know how to show my concern and dont know how to be a better person. even to my family. but i do cherish them alot. every time i see an elderly outside, or an old grandma/grandpa with a kid, i feel sorry... and sympathize them. ah, life.

i must push myself to wake up tomorrow!

and kill the nasty old woman :p

i am..

deciding on a new phone and a new laptop. :)

a beautiful story

I arrived at the address where someone had requested a taxi. I honked but no one came out. I honked again, nothing. So I walked to the door and knocked. 'Just a minute', answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor.

After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90's stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie.

By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets..

There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.

'Would you carry my bag out to the car?' she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, and then returned to assist the woman.

She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the cab.

She kept thanking me for my kindness. 'It's nothing', I told her. 'I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated'....
'Oh, you're such a good boy', she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, and then asked, 'Could you drive through downtown?'

'It's not the shortest way,' I answered quickly.
'Oh, I don't mind,' she said. 'I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice'.

I looked in the rear-view mirror. Her eyes were glistening. 'I don't have any family left,' she continued. 'The doctor says I don't have very long.' I quietly reached over and shut off the meter.

'What route would you like me to take?' I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator.

We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds. She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.

Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, 'I'm tired. Let's go now'

We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico..

Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her.

I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.

'How much do I owe you?' she asked, reaching into her purse.
'Nothing,' I said

'You have to make a living,' she answered.

'There are other passengers,' I responded.

Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly.

'You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,' she said...

'Thank you.'

I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.

I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift? What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?

On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life.

We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.
But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID, BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Sunday ):

weekends always fly. i hate sundays. the only day that i will look forward to is friday. but why, must friday be so close to sunday and monday?

this weekend was quite well spent. i learnt how to play a new game, risk. and i ended up being the winner, i conquered 2 continents! hee. but of course thanks to the help of everyone in the beginning of the game. im too stupid to play such strategy games. but yea we played until like 4am+ in the morning lol. everyone was damn shag.

its monday, again. and its work, again.
i wish i was back to schooling days sometimes. or at least wish i was at another place.

my gastric and stomach havent been well since saturday night. wonder what went wrong. now its starting to hurt again. this time i think its the gastric. i was in so much pain last night that i could hardly stand or talk and i felt like vomiting on the cab home. and when i eat something i'd feel a little pain too. varies. ah pls let there be nth wrong. there are still things that i havent do and dreamt that havent come true.

Long weekend ♥

no news from them, i should have known :(

anyway seems like the train crowd is getting worse. and i was and still am disgusted by the sight of the human jam every morning and afternoon and evening and night. i understand..that maybe you are in a hurry or you just wanna get home quickly but dont the others want the same too? just dont push, whats so difficult about that? and wait, for maybe a minute for the passengers to alight..will 1 minute kill? and move in, you only have to move yr precious gold-made feet a few steps into the middle of the train so that more people can enter, whats so difficult about that?

standing right in front doesnt mean you will get in first anyway. sometimes the crowd in front of me got into the train so im left there, in the front, waiting for the other train but guess what.. sometimes im still the last to enter because while i stand aside for people to come out, people behind me already come before me and going in from the middle and then the people inside have a hard time coming out. what do you gain from that?

i wonder.

The past 7 months

the best thing that happened to me in the past 7 months in nuh, is getting to know these wonderful people - who help me out when i need help; who listens to me; who gives me good advises in times of need. thank you:)

i saw a patient today, looking sick and sad, and her maid was next to her, playing the buddha songs/chantings on a small player next to her. this scene reminded me of my aunt. i know she is doing better because there's no more suffering.. but i can feel the loneliness of her absence. each time i see uncle at my place, i cant help but feel sadder. he misses her, everyone else too.

life's fragile and unpredictable. i'm scared. :(
